Time To Wash Your Comforter?
Ohhhh September. How it loves to surprise us with winter year after year. While this cold snap isn't quite the same caliber as 2014's #snowtember, it is cold enough to bring the duvets and comforters out from the closet! But before you cozy up in bed with your added layer, when was the last time you washed your comforter?
I'm sure we don't have to remind you of all the dead skin and sweat we shed in our sleep, not to mention the amount of bacteria that can be attracted. Despite this fact, some people still go weeks, months, even years between washes.
We get it. Washing your duvet isn't the easiest task. Some duvets can be destroyed or lose their shape if not washed carefully. Some washing machines just aren't big enough for queen and king sized duvets. Line drying isn't always the best choice either. Duvets take a while to fully dry and can often grow mildew.
If you are set on taking on the challenge, ensure that yours is in good shape and read labels to check for "dry clean only." Old feather duvets often have wear and tear and may have holes that need to be patched up. If you're uncertain of the condition of your duvet, it's best to let us take care of it.
As always, we want to make your life easier. You have enough on your plate already, why add more? If the idea of bacteria, dust mites, and sweat gathering in your duvet makes your skin crawl BUT you don't have the time or just aren't sure how to wash your duvet, bring it in to our store and receive %20 off from now until October by mentioning you saw the deal online!
